Nominate your favorite Christmas light display! The HOA is searching for the Memorial Parkway's best and brightest holiday lights display as we look to crown this year's Clark Griswold Award winner.
There will be four awards given out... with the first place being The Clark Griswold Award - Given to the home that has so many lights you are not sure how they haven't blown the breaker!!
Texas Transportation Code, authorizes the Commissioners Court of a county to declare a speed limit lower than 30 MPH in a residence district, unless the roadway has been designated as a major thoroughfare. The Memorial Parkway HOA is considering petitioning the Commissioners court for a reduced speed limit of 25 mph within Memorial Parkway Subdivision. We would like to survey the members of the subdivision before making a decision. We have created a simple survey to see if there is support to have the speed limit lowered.
Based on the survey results, the HOA will request an engineering study from Harris County to determine which streets in the subdivision are eligible for 25 MPH speed limits. After receiving the study results and if the HOA Board chooses to move forward they should provide a petition to the Precinct Three Commissioners in the prescribed form. The petition must be signed (in person) by at least 51% of the owners or tenants of residences in the subdivision. There can only be one per household sign the petition. That means we will need 1,132 of the homes come and sign the petition.
Stay up to date with current HOA events and news through the online HOA Blog!! The HOA was recently removed from the Nextdoor forum, therefore we are no longer able to post meetings, events, news, etc on Nextdoor.

How to Avoid a Deed Restriction Letter from the HOA…
We have many wonderful homeowners and residents who do an amazing job of taking care of their homes and yards. The entire subdivision is regularly inspected for deed restrictions. The inspector uses the ACC Guidelines and the Declarations of Covenants for the guidelines as to which to determine if properties are in compliance.
Deadline Extended!! The last day to get on a payment plan with 'no plan fee' is December 22nd, 2016. If you are wanting to get on a payment plan for you 2017 HOA Dues, you must come by the office and fill out the paperwork for a payment plan. The plan will consist of 3 monthly payments of $125 (December, January, and February).
We want you to know that we have an "open door policy" for our homeowners. The five Board Members are elected homeowners who represent all the homeowners of MP. We have open meetings the first Tuesday of every month. The agendas for the meetings are posted on the website. We do have a lot of business to get to each month so we usually can only dedicate 30 minutes for residents questions. We have a office inside the neighborhood open 9am-5pm M-F, the office staff can also address questions and concerns that you may have.
We do schedule private meetings with homeowners throughout the month depending on the need. If you have a questions concerning how we operate/conduct business, on finances/budget, or policy procedures there are several different ways to go about getting explanations and answers to your questions. If it is a few simple questions, you can call the office or stop by the office. If you think it may take a while, we can schedule a specific time to dedicate to getting you the answers you are looking for.
All homeowners are invited to attend the next Board Meeting, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 7pm in the Cimarron Parkway Clubhouse. The agenda for the Board Meeting will be posted under the top drop down menu titled 'Resident Information' one week prior to the meeting.
Thank you to all the homeowners who took the time to fill out a proxy and/or attend our Annual Meeting. We were very please to meet our quorum for the Annual Meeting. We had 318 homeowners fill out a proxy or vote in person at the Annual Meeting. Of those 318, 70 proxies were filled out for 'quorum only'.
We are happy to announce that William Pongrass was re-elected to a second three year term and Michael Olsen is our newly elected board member. We greatly appreciate all four homeowners volunteering to run for the two open positions that were open this year. We want to take this opportunity to thank Doug White for the many years of service and dedication to the HOA Board.
