Memorial Parkway is participating in Texas National Neighborhood Night Out again and would like you to be a part of our National Night Out team. We would like to have representatives from each street to help in organizing a small event for your block for the evening of Tuesday, October 6, 2015. Gatherings are usually held between the hours of 5 and 8pm. It is very easy. Just distribute a flyer on your street to let everyone know the day, date, and time, add in a few simple refreshments like cookies and lemonade, bring out the lawn chairs and enjoy and evening out with your neighbors. We can assist with providing flyer templates and will also publicize the event on your website, Next Door, and Facebook page to let everyone know which streets are hosting events. If you are able to join the Night-out Team, please contact the office so that we can add you to the list of volunteers and help with any questions you may have. Due to the Magic Show on July 7th and Neighbor's Night Out on Aug 4th we will have a meeting for Resident's Concerns at the Committee Meeting July 21st from 7pm-8pm at the Cimarron Clubhouse.
Join us at Cimarron Pool to celebrate National Neighbor's Night Out! Bring the entire family! We will have hot dogs and hamburger's from 6pm-8pm Tuesday, August 4th. Come out and meet your neighbors!
National Night Out is a cohesive effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
In November, we will hold our annual election for 2 positions on the Board of Directors for a 3-year term beginning January 2016. If you are interested in running for one of these positions, please submit a short bio to the office, which will be published in our monthly newsletter. We need to know your intentions before August 15th in order to include your name on the proxy ballot. If you are interested in becoming more involved we invite you to come to a meeting or one of our upcoming events.
We hope that none of our residents experienced any water flooding their homes over the past week. If you did Harris County is asking that homeowners report it to them.
6/1/15 Cimarron Pool Update: We have sunny skies and new plaster progress today!
Come join your neighbors at the pool for a kick off to the summer. We have a major neighborhood pool party each year to celebrate summer!!
Saturday, June 13th from 12pm to 4pm at the Cimarron Pool
Thank you to everyone who came out for our special event. We had a great time!! See some photos below.
We have been receiving many calls with trash collection issues. We do not manage that contract, but we do attempt and try to obtain information from the Muds regarding the trash collection. (The Muds handle the trash collection. Each homeowner pays for that on their monthly water bill.)
This morning, Mud #81 contacted our office and asked us to let everyone know that next Monday, WCA will have TWO trucks come by. One will be the automated truck to pick up the issued trash receptacle (large trash can) and the second truck will come by to pick up other items that are not in the trash receptacle (large trash can).

Warning! There have been two separate coyote attacks on small animals in the neighborhood in the last week. Please keep fences closed and pets protected.
Coyotes have adapted well to suburban and urban living. They are, as are most wild animals, attracted to pet food. Coyotes are members of the Canid family, which includes wolves, dogs and foxes. Coyotes are considered a high rabies risk animal.
We had great weather for the egg hunt. Thank you to everyone who attended. We had a lot of fun!!

2015 Maintenance Dues
MPCA would like to suggest that garage sales be conducted the first Friday and Saturday of each month. This will eliminate the many signs that are out each week and would also makes for a stronger turn out. Most area communities only allow sales twice a year. Memorial Parkway could be known for it’s “Once a Month” garage sales.
2015 Maintenance Dues
After January 31st, 2015, all homeowners accounts who have not had their 2015 payment of $335 clear the MPCA Bank Account, will have a $25 late notice charge billed to their account and will be receiving a late letter notice. If you are a homeowner that has not paid your 2015 Dues yet, please make arrangements as soon as possible.
