Mike Brahm
Hi Neighbor,
My name is Mike Brahm and I am running for a position on the Board of Directors for Memorial Parkway. As you may recognize my name, I am currently a member on the Board of Directors. I have called Memorial Parkway home since 1979. My wife Kathy and I raised our three beautiful daughters through the KISD schools. All three girls are adults now with jobs and lives of their own. I have been blessed with two grandchildren. Sadly, I lost my wife Kathy in 2020 due to illness.
I work in commercial sales and distribution for the chemical product industry. My job allows me flexibility to volunteer my time back to our community. I am able to make routine repairs to the facilities such as replacing the ice machine filters and other various minor facilities maintenance items saving the community money. I have enjoyed my time on the Board working together with fellow neighbors to improve and maintain the community facilities for the members of Memorial Parkway. In the last year, I helped to facilitate major improvements to the facilities such as Cimarron Pool renovation, new flooring to clubhouse, wallpaper removal and repaint of the community clubhouse, new audio-visual equipment installed in the clubhouse, tree pruning, landscape replacement, easement fencing replacement etc. I enjoy helping at the community events such as Splash Day, Dive in Movie Night, Egg Hunt, and Bingos to name a few. I am currently the chairperson for the Grounds Committee and have been working hard to keep the community grounds looking nice. You probably have seen me at the pools this summer enjoying my favorite past time reading. I love spending my free time at our community pools.
My goals if elected again would be amenity improvements specifically, installation of a splash pad, increased traffic enforcement, and continued financial soundness. I would appreciate your vote for another term on the Board of Directors.
Thank you,
Mike Brahm
Sarah Gemmell
Dear Esteemed Members of the MP Homeowners Association,
I am thrilled to introduce myself as a candidate for a pivotal role on the MPHOA Board of Directors. My name is Sarah Gemmell, and I am not just seeking a position; I am on a mission to transform our association into a beacon of positive change and visionary leadership.
For nearly six years, my daughter and I have proudly called Memorial Parkway our home. Our deep affection for this community has inspired me to step forward and offer my unwavering commitment to its betterment. My journey here has been one of active involvement and dedicated service. I proudly served as the President of the PTA at Memorial Parkway Elementary for three impactful years, actively participated in various church-based initiatives, and contributed my time and efforts to numerous community causes.
Professionally, I have spent the last two decades immersed in the world of Hospitality Procurement and Supply Chain Logistics. During this time, I honed my skills in managing complex projects, negotiating contracts, and overseeing substantial budgets. This background equips me with the expertise required to make sound financial decisions, ensuring the prosperity of our HOA.
My vision for our community encompasses three key pillars: engagement, improvement, and safety. I intend to foster engagement through resident-led committees and events, where every voice is not just heard but cherished. Our pool facilities will see enhancements, coupled with improved accessibility, to create spaces that truly reflect the essence of our community. Additionally, I am dedicated to increasing neighborhood safety and security, ensuring that every member feels safe and valued.
We are a unique HOA, distinguished by our volunteers' dedication and commitment, rather than reliance on a management company. It is time for a fresh perspective, an injection of enthusiasm, and a passionate drive to reinvigorate our association. Together, we will redefine what an HOA should be: a place where respect, support, and inclusivity are not just ideals but daily practices.
I firmly believe that with your support and my unwavering dedication, we can usher in an era of positive change, growth, and community spirit within the MP Homeowners Association. I am excited about the prospect of serving you, and together, we will make our neighborhood a shining example of visionary leadership and positive transformation.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely, Sarah Gemmell
