December Board Meeting Tidbits
At the December Board meeting, Houston Texas Fence Company was awarded the bid for vinyl split rail fence replacement in the Center Point Easement. The contractor was able to get to work right away and the fencing at all four streets should be completed today. We are very pleased at how they look and think it is a very nice improvement to the overall aesthetics of the subdivision!!
The annual audit draft was approved and the CPA will be in attendance at the February Board meeting to review and discuss.
The Santa Parade, food trucks and cookies were a huge success! Thank you to everyone who participated in the Santa Parade!! The next recreation community event is Dinner and Bingo!! Mark your calendars for Friday, February 10th at 6:30pm!!
The Neighborhood Watch training was postponed due to lack of residents signed up to attend. The training will be rescheduled in the new year. The Board had a security camera company out to discuss possible license plate recognition cameras. Due to the numerous through streets, it was determined that the design of the roadways in Memorial Parkway makes the cameras unfeasible to install. Pricing on private security was obtained. For a 5 day a week security guard for one shift came to $130,000 versus a constable at $77,600.
Landscaping bids for grounds maintenance were obtained and reviewed from 6 additional commercial landscape companies. After reviewing the proposals, the Board of Directors approved grounds maintenance contract with JKru Land Services, who is the current contractor for Memorial Parkway.
Cimarron Parkway pool plaster renovation, water line tile replacement and coping surround replacement has been completed. It looks like a brand new pool! The total project cost was $115,838.33.
