Tom Blache

Hi fellow residents, I am Tom Blache. I have lived in the neighborhood for over ten years. I have a Ph.D. in Social Psychology and have been a professional magician for more than thirty years. Of which I have done a magic show for the ice cream social here in the neighborhood. Many may have seen me jogging or riding thought the community. Or the daily playing ball with my dog as you travel through Park Royale.

I am running for a board position to see new ideas and positive changes. Transparency, accountability and common sense is the key to these changes. You can't solve issues with the same problems that caused them. I was inspired to run for the Board after reading an exchange on the Memorial Parkway Snopes Report from last year (last entry) August 14, 2019, "I don't understand why we can't sign a release stating we know the risks of swimming without a lifeguard present." MPCA Response - If we unlocked the pool gates and restrooms, there would be no way to monitor who came into the pool area.

I have been to a few subdivisions where a keycard or punchin code was used to allow the residents to use the pool year around when they signed a liability waiver release. But more importantly, I believe this is something for the Board to discuss and or explore. Not just dismiss the resident question. The problem always contains the solution. The Board's mission statement has the line: The Board will serve the Homeowners by taking a fair, ethical, and objective approach in representing the interest of all homeowners. I would love to see this in the productive manner in which it was intended.  I believe everyone's voice should be heard, and issues worked together. Memorial Parkway is home, and home isn't a place; it's a feeling.

Mike Brahm

Hi Neighbor, I am Mike Brahm. I am running for re-election to the MPCA Board of Directors. I would like the opportunity to continue to keep our subdivision an attractive and desirable place to live and raise a family. My top priorities are neighborhood safety, low annual HOA Dues, enhancing our neighborhood amenities, and good communication with residents. With all the new subdivisions in Katy, Memorial Parkway continues to be a desirable place to live. Everyone does a great job of home maintenance. The housing market continues to be very strong in Memorial Parkway. Homeownership for most individuals is their biggest investment of their lifetime. I have worked hard over the years to protect your investments.

As a current Board member, I have overseen the maintenance of our facilities. I have always strived to keep contractor prices and cost down. I am currently working on new fencing for the Highland Knolls tennis courts.

My wife, Kathy, and I bought our home on Park Bend in 1979. We raised our three daughters in Memorial Parkway and are now proud grandparents of 2 grandbabies.

Paul Schmidt

My name is Paul Schmidt, a 10-year resident of Memorial Parkway.

Based on my commitment to be of service to our community and make an impactful contribution, I have chosen to run for a position on the HOA board.

My strong can-do attitude will have a positive impact on the HOA’s ability to continue the betterment of our community, maintain property values and implement all that is needed to ensure the safety and security for the residents of Memorial Parkway.

I am leadership minded and dedicated to continuing our forward momentum as we do all that is needed to streamline processes and improve our community standards across every metric

Thank you for your consideration.  Your vote will be greatly appreciated.
